Arrest Made in Wade Hampton Stabbing
Greenville County Sheriff's deputies have arrested an 18-year-old man in connection with the stabbing of a Wade Hampton High School student.
An 18-year-old Taylors man has been taken into custody by the Greenville County Sheriff's Office for allegedly stabbing a Wade Hampton High School student on Friday, the agency announced Saturday morning. Joseph Andrew Ryland, who resides at Bellview Road in the Taylors area, is charged with attempted murder. He is accused of stabbing another male who was a student at Wade Hampton during an altercation that occurred in the parking where the Bijou theater used to sit. At roughly 4 p.m., several students reportedly had walked to that parking lot next to the school when they began became involved in a verbal altercation with Ryland, according to the GCSO.
