YMCA Teen Achievers Program Adds Two Locations

Simpsonville-based mentoring and tutoring program kicks off school year with “Teen Takeover.”

Here at the beginning of the school year, one of the biggest academic assistance resources in Greenville County is expanding. Middle and high school students have two new resources for academic help and social activity as the YMCA Teen Achievers program expands to six locations for the 2012-13 school year.  Teen Achievers is a national Y program that prepares teens for college and the workforce through tutoring, mentoring, and job shadowing programs. The program is free and open to any student in Greenville County who is in the seventh grade or above.
