Bring 'Battleship' to S.C. Military Personnel
Vote for a S.C. military base and help bring a special showing of "Battleship" to military personnel.
A nationwide contest running through May 8 could bring a special showing of summer blockbuster "Battleship" to S.C. military personnel. Voting has opened in "Battle of the Bases" and pits the nation's military bases against one another through Facebook accounts. The top 10 will receive special movie showings at a nearby theater. Right now, Shaw AFB in Sumter is sitting at No. 7. Also in the running are the Charleston AFB, Fort Jackson in Columbia, MCAS Beaufort, McEntire Joint NGB, NAVHOSP Beaufort, and NWS Charleston. The movie, which opens May 18, is rated PG-13 and stars Alexander Skarsgard, Brooklyn Decker and Liam Neeson.
