Knollwood Foundation Helps Hungry Children

Benefits Mauldin Elementary Backpack Program

Just as it did in 2010, the Knollwood Foundation once again stepped up to help local children. Last year, the group collected nearly a ton (1,925 lbs.) of food for God's Pantry. This year, the beneficiaries were the Mauldin Elementary School Backpack Program and the Harvest Hope Food Bank.

On Dec. 17 volunteers gathered and gained free admission to the Christmas in Mauldin event by donating non-perishable food items. Entertainment was provided by "honk-a-billy" band The Note Ropers.
