Two Locals Named to Join BJU's Newest Sport

Students from Mauldin and Simpsonville have been named to BJU's first-ever cross-country team.

Brooke Wells of Simpsonville and Joshua Strubel of Maudlin have been named to the new Bob Jones University Bruins cross country team.

The Bruins cross country team, composed of 17 women and 16 men, begins their inaugural intercollegiate season September 14 at Furman University.

"As a coach, it's exciting to begin a cross country season - but it's especially exciting to begin an inaugural season at the collegiate level," says BJU Bruins cross country coach Landon Bright. "I look forward to watching our runners develop into stronger athletes who strive to glorify God in every area of life."
