The Rams make it two in a row against rival Mavericks with a 35-13 win.
The Hillcrest High Rams spoiled the coaching debut of the Mauldin Mavericks' Lee Taylor on Friday night, beating their cross-town arch rivals 35-13.
After a successful preseason, the Mavericks took the field with confidence and quickly got on the board thanks to quarterback Dre Massey's endzone run.
But the Rams came back, utilizing their passing game to vanquish the Mavericks at Mauldin's Freeman Field.

The win Friday gives the Rams two in a row against the Mavericks, who have owned the series the past decade, mounting nine straight wins against the Rams until last year's stunning 44-42 loss.
The Mavericks next take on Woodmont in an away, while the Rams travel to Wade Hampton.
