A Mauldin woman reported that burglars broke into her Lanier Lane home last week, stealing an estimated $5,600 in cash and jewelry, a Mauldin Police report said.
The woman discovered someone had entered her home when she returned to her house to find a door on the side of her house broken from its frame, the report said.
She also noticed the door to her basement ajar and that her dogs, which are kept there, had gotten upstairs, the report said.
The woman reported that a pair of suspected thieves from Taylors identified in the report but not located took $5,000 worth of miscellaneous jewelry and $600 in cash, the report said.
Th case remains under investigation.
