Community Update

Avoid this daycare at all costs. The staff will endanger your child, your family, and your life. I am not joking. My daughter had a mild case of diaper rash and the staff reported my wife and I to the sheriff's department and to the Dept. of Social Services claiming my daughter was being abused. I immediately took my daughter to the doctor for a full physical examination, and the doctor reported it as MILD DIAPER RASH. The doctor provided me a full written explanation stating my daughter was in perfect health (other than the rash) and that she showed absolutely NO signs of abuse. It made no difference. My wife and I went through the total hell of having a 45 day investigation by the DSS, including frequent, unannounced visits into our home. They reported our house was clean, full of healthy foods, and a safe, loving environment for our daughter. We were completely exonerated, as expected, but the level of stress of living under the threat of possibly losing our daughter over the claim of an uneducated, ignorant staff member at Pocketful of Miracles was extremely trying. No parent should EVER have to deal with such. Making matters worse was the fact that the assistant director of the facility pulled me aside in the hallway when I picked up my child and whispered in my ear, "Get your daughter OUT OF HERE."
But wait, it gets better...The staff member who made the accusation has a HISTORY of making baseless accusations against other innocent parents.
I attempted to have the facility investigated itself, but given the fact that the owner/operator, Pam, is married to a long-time law enforcement official I had little success.
AVOID THIS DAYCARE AT ALL COSTS!!!!
