Services Set for Second Family Killed in Alaska Crash

The McManus family, killed in a July 7 Alaska plane crash that claimed 10 Greenville County lives, will be laid to rest this Saturday.

Funeral services for The McManus Family of Greenville, SC, Dr. Christopher M. McManus, MD (46), Stacey Dickert McManus (46), Meghan Alexandra (17) and Connor Michael (14) who perished together Sunday, July 7, 2013, in a plane crash, Soldotna, Alaska will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, July 20, 2013, at Wiles Chapel on the Campus of Newberry College.

Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the committal service in Smeltzer Hall at Newberry College. 

The family asks that memorial gifts be directed to the USC School of Medicine Greenville Scholarship Fund, Office of Philanthropy and Partnership, 300 E. McBee Avenue, Ste 200, Greenville, SC 29601; South Carolina Donate Life, 22 Centre East - 4200 East North Street, Greenville, SC 29615; Ronald McDonald House in Greenville, 706 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605; Boy Scout Troop 9, Buncombe Street United Methodist Church, 200 Buncombe Street, Greenville, SC 29601; or, Young Life Greenville, 2320 E. North Street, Ste. N, Greenville, SC 29607-1250.
