Doris T. Colonna, 88, widow of Burleigh Gene Colonna, his "angel" of 59 years, died Saturday, October 12, 2013.
Doris was born August 13, 1925, in Anderson, to the late Maylon Luther and Martha Ann South Taylor, and was of the Baptist faith.
Her most beloved role was being "Nana" to her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Gene Colonna (Carole), Sharon Hrabovsky (Paul), and Tammy Murrell; six grandchildren, Micah Colonna (Ashley), Matthew Freeland, Julie Shultz (Raymond), Drew, Connor, and Breanne Murrell; and two brothers, Ray and Luke Taylor.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Freeland; five sisters; and four brothers.

The family will receive friends at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Wednesday, October 16, 2013 from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the Downtown Chapel. Burial will be in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
