McManus Family, Victims of Plane Crash, Laid to Rest

Mourners say goodbye to family killed earlier this month in devastating Alaska plane crash.

In the same chapel that Chris and Stacey McManus were married, a few hundred mourners gathered in Newberry on Saturday to say goodbye to the Greenville couple and their two children, Meghan and Connor,  who were killed in a July 7 plane crash in Alaska.

The somber afternoon service at the A.G.D Wiles Chapel on the Newberry College campus came just days after approximately 650 people packed Christ Church Episcopal for the family funeral of Kim and Melet Antonakos and their three children — McManus family friends and traveling companions who were also killed in the crash along with pilot Walter Rediske.
