But on Saturday night, Rachel Wyatt was crowned Miss America's Outstanding Teen in Orlando, Fla.
A Piedmont resident, Wyatt, 17, performed a lyrical dance to "The Climb."
Wyatt will be a senior at Wren High School, where according to the Miss America Organization, she currently serves as class president, yearbook editor and member of the National Honor Society.
Wyatt became a trending topic on Twitter after the Miss South Carolina Teen pageant. After being presented her crown, Wyatt dropped down to one knee to "Tebow" before the crowd. (See attached video.)
Miss America's Outstanding Teen is a scholarship-based program offering accomplished teens the opportunity to be awarded funds for college.
