Mauldin Concert to Benefit Boston Nonprofits in Wake of Tragedy

Donations will be taken at upcoming concert at Mauldin Cultural Center.

Want to help to help out folks in Boston but not sure how? One pace to start is at this Friday's concert at the Mauldin Cultural Center.

The concert featuring Betsy Franck & the Bareknuckle Band will still be free, but MCC executive director George patrick McLeer said Tuesday the MCC is highly encouraging concertgoers to donate to the American Red Cross of Eastern Massachusetts and the Boston Athletic Association (operators of the Boston Marathon) to support their efforts in wake of the bombings during the Boston Marathon.

The concert will be in the Mauldin Cultural Center's Outdoor Amphitheater located in the rear of the Center at 101 East Butler Road this Friday, April 19 at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to bring their lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets [no alcohol]. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Center's Auditorium.

Betsy Franck is known around the southeast for her blues and gospel infused vocal stylings paired with the immense talent behind her on stage in the Bareknuckle Band.
