Ok-- going by what you say, its then Georgia who by refusing the federal money is responsible forRead Moreho spital closures- not ObamaCare.

Do you have evidence that if Georgia accepted the money that the hospitals would close? Which ones- Read Moreand what were their financial histories up to this point? Most in the state have been teetering on the brink of insolvency for years.

Tom, thanks for your question! Mauldin Patch remains open. There have been changes nationwide, butRead Morew e are working harder than ever to bring communities their news.

Do you always believe and think like Weigel because he writes it?
Shawn Drury July 23, 2013 at 11:19 PM
Sanchez -- The wording is precise because it's the law--the wording needs to be clear. The laws are Read Moredifferent. The Illinois Law was on the books since 1961, it wasn't a stand your ground law. Being that it was written 40 years before he was in office, there's no way Obama could have written it. It was meant to deal with intruders and unwanted visitors. Just read it. The Florida law refers to the very type of incident in which Zimmerman and Martin were involved, protecting yourself when you are (or think you are) being attacked in public. One refers to defending your home, the other refers to defending yourself. They're different laws.

I said the laws are different. They have much of the same intent. That intent was supported byRead Morethe man who now, when he thinks it will help him, is against the intent. Obama is a pathological liar and the proof is abundant. I see you are like Zipper Billy, "It depends on what the definition of the wrods 'is' is." And "what 'alone' means".

HOUSEKEEPING @PATCH, RE: [stanley seigler say] seems PATCH (any blog owner) could stop the dumb-ARead Moret rolls'... ~~there seems to be something that connects the numerous troll names to 'one ID'...eg:... ~~when i click on 'thomas factor': the following names appear: thomas paine, herr paine, wilton13, X-factor, Sanchez Sobchak, Walter Sobchak, Herr Borsh...OTOH ~~when i click on 'stanley seigler' only stanley seigler shows up ~~so cant PATCH limit one name to 'one ID'...

I joined this group a few months ago and have to say that it is well run and everyone involved care Read Moredeeply for the animals and go out of their way to keep them safe and secure. At each transport transfer the animals are loved on, petted, cuddled, kissed, exercised and provided water to reassure them that they are safe. Speaking for myself, there is nothing I would rather do on a Saturday than offer my time to help save these wonderful animals.

As a part of life, and the irresponsibility of others, the loss of domestic animals in staggeringRead Morean d devastating. If your intent was to call attention to the loss of cats at Greenville, your post missed the target, by miles. Several times I've seen signs in shelters with the quote "if not me, who?" As well as the "somebody should do something" essay. You declared yourself to be a rescue and yet, what did you do to save those 7000 (if the number is accurate) cats. At RST we (and I am proud to call myself part of that we) facilitated by Erin, move approximately 50 animals a week to a safer place in rescue with a greater hope for adoption. What have you done? If you believe that there is a problem at Greenville, why are you not using your time to fix the problems there. Making phone calls and disparaging the people that are putting forth the effort is ineffectual and harmful. So I will ask, why not you? and what sort of difference, on the order of the RST successes, can you and your rescue cite as an example? If you really cared, you would align yourself with people with a similar mission, not disparage them.
Jennifer Moss July 13, 2013 at 04:23 PM
Let me get this straight. You claim Erin Silks didn't respond back about your request to be aRead Moredriver , so you felt the need to contact Greenville County Care Services to complain about a transport group that helps save and transport thousands of dogs & cats for free. This is ridiculous! I am proud to be a driver for Rural Shelter Transports. It is an incredibly organized group of dedicated volunteers. The group transports animals every weekend. For the animals' safety, RST doesn't just let anyone who sends an email be a driver. All drivers and rescue groups are screened ahead of time. There are also back-up plans in place as well. People make mistakes, but please get your facts straight before making critical comments. In fact, a retraction would be appropriate.

I just read the other Patch article she wrote. She should try a transport of volunteers to bringRead Moreth at food to her. That's what a person with ingenuity would do. Wouldn't cost her a thing, but no, she views bashing people more productive. Not gonna waste anymore of my time on such trash. I need to figure out how to help more animals. Ta ta.....
