VIDEO: Mauldin Candidates Debate

The candidates for Mayor and City Council Seats 4 and 6 discuss the issues

On Tuesday evening, October 4 at the Candidates for Mayor and City Council Seats 4 and 6 met to meet voters and discuss the issues facing the city. Mauldin Patch hosted the event along with Kathleen Kempe of the Greenville County League of Women Voters.

The candidates for mayor are Don Godbey and Dennis Raines. Godbey is the incumbent.

Seat 2 of the City Council - Incumbent Bob Cook is running unopposed and ha already been declared the winner.

The candidates for Seat 4 of the City Council are James Kennedy and Scott Crosby. Kennedy is the incumbent.

The candidates for Seat 6 of the City Council are Michael Reynolds, Larry Goodson, and Nantambu Calhoun. Reynolds is the incumbent. Calhoun was unable to attend the debate.

There is no race for Seat 2 as Bob Cook was unopposed and has aready been declared victorious.

Candidates for office in Mauldin are not required to list a party affiliation.

NOTE: Due to a technical issue not all of the candidates closing remarks were videotaped. Therefore, in fairness to the candidates, all of their closing remarks have been omitted from this video.
