Over the last few months, city officials have been discussing plans to create a City Center. In public meetings some residents have had a little trouble imagining what that might mean and how their bedroom community might be transformed into a destination.

Tonight, there will be the opportunity to get an idea of what that might look like as the Cultural Center and the Sports Center--both cornerstones of City Center plans--join forces to host a night for the whole family.

Starting at 7:30 p.m. the amphitheater behind the Cultural Center will host the latest concert in what has already been an impressive series, when singer-songwriter Alan Barrington performs.

Across the way at the Sports Center there will be a Parents Night Out starting at 6 p.m. Parents can drop their children off and go out for dinner and take in the concert at the Cultural Center. Meanwhile, the kids will be entertained by the movie Courageous.
