Mauldin's E.J. Reddick is State Triple Jump Champ

The senior makes it two straight in the event for Mauldin.

Though the Mauldin baseball came up short in the Upper State Baseball Championship on Friday, Mavs sports fans were still able to crown a champion.

Senior E.J. Reddick won the state triple jump championship on Friday at Spring Valley High School. The high-flying Reddick jumped 46' 11" to outdistance the second-place finisher, Phillipe Williams of Dutch Fork, six and-a-half inches.

It's the second year in a row Mauldin has claimed the title of state triple jump champion as Shai Carpenter won last year.
