Mauldin Parents Charged With Neglect

Police: Residence considered unlivable, children removed from home

On Thursday, Mauldin Police received an anonymous tip about the well-being of children at 299 E. Butler Road, Lot #12 in Mauldin.

When detectives arrived at the residence they found trash 2-3 feet deep, covering the trailer from end-to-end. Detectives said spoiled food was in the refrigerator and the counters were covered with maggots. Feces was on the walls and in the trash.

Living in the residence were a family of five: Thomas and Tiffany Hudgins and their three children, aged, 3, 7 and 10.
